Everybody thinks that the seaside is the place where you can fill your lungs with good old fashioned “sea air”, but how good is this sea air for you? Let’s start with the good points to going on a beach holiday, and why it is good for your health, then we can make a decision later…
What’s better than going to the beach and having a good swim? Swimming is supposed to be the best exercise form for you; it gets every muscle working together, and your heart will get pumping blood at a constant rate. Your heart will work harder when you are swimming, this is great because you get a good bit of exercise, and because your having fun you don’t even realise. Coupled with swimming in the sea is the sea water itself, sea water is very good for your skin. Levels of salt are high in the sea and help to cleanse acne and tidy up permanent scars.
The sun is also good for your skin (in small doses). Skin cancer and multiple sclerosis can both be reduced in risk with vitamin D which is supplied by sunlight.
If anything the one thing we can all agree on (as long as you have a good holiday) is that holidays are best for reducing stress levels. High stress levels can cause many different problems, heart disease and skin problems are the most common. Making sure that you dont get too stressed, will help reduce chances of medical problems. Being able to go on luxury holidays by the beach will relieve stress will help you to clear your head as well.
Now for the bad points, let’s say you were looking at Caribbean holidays for example. Everywhere you look there are beaches all around. The sun will be out for a long time. The sun isnt always good for you, in high amounts it can be very bad for you. We have all been there, stayed in the sun too long and noticed we are shedding skin or glowing lobster red, the skin is just getting cooked.
In recent studies it has been shown that the sea air isn’t actually that brilliant for you. Although the air is cleaner than that, say in a city, it contains some interesting substances. Try not to panic it wont kill you, its just that it isnt that great for you. There is a substance that is released by animals in the sea called DMS (dimethyl sulphide), this substance floats around the sea and the beaches and irritates the eyes and nose, it also has that smell you detect when your at the seaside. Another substance that was discovered was nitryl chloride which is a respiratory inhibitor but is the most of it is broken down by the sun.
So are beach holidays good for you? Relieving stress will help you with all kinds of things and beach holidays will help you to do this. The bad points aren’t really strong enough to deter anybody going to the seaside. So if you planning weddings abroad then go for it, swim in the sea and enjoy the sun.

With gas being as expensive as it is right now, people have started using trains, or buses, more often, to take them where they need to be. Nothing is as boring as having to travel for several hours, with complete strangers, and nothing to do.
Most people try to sleep, or read a good book, but these means of transport are usually very noisy too, so these activities are not that easily accomplished. Looking out the window eventually gets boring. What do you do then?
Nothing makes time fly by, like the sansa e250 2gb . Allowing you to watch your favorite show, listen to your music, or just listen to the news on the radio, or browsing around on your player looking for something to do, the player does it all. You won’t even know there are people around you.
You might find it weird or awkward to wear headphones in a public place, especially if not dressed casually, but why worry about what others think, and not do something you like? Listening to music is not just for teenagers or children. Headphones have also advanced far enough to permit better noise isolation, and so, nothing will disturb your listening experience. A good set of headphones also doesn’t allow the person next to you to hear what you are listening to.
Since traveling takes up so much of our time, might as well make an enjoyable experience out of it. You decide if the small price paid for this is worth it or not, but listening to music while traveling is much better than listening to those annoying kids in the next compartment. Why not make things easier for yourself? Give it a try, you won’t regret it!

The lighthouses of France stand as imposing testaments to French naval history. Although many are now sadly disused, their architectural beauty and cultural significance make them a must-see for any tourists visiting France. French lighthouses are hidden cultural treasures that hark back to a largely forgotten era of Gallic rule . Guarding the French waterfront, the lighthouses – or phare – have stood up to the worst that the Channel and the Atlantic Ocean have to offer for decades. These remarkable structures punctuate the skyline around the coastline, forming a formidable network of beacons originally designed to guard the lives of French sailors and ensure the integrity of the nation’s shipping lanes. Some of the most beautiful lighthouses are to be found in Brittany, and on the tiny Île D’Ouessant just off the mainland. A rocky, weather-beaten tranche of land that’s only 5km by 8km long, the island is houses a number of truly impressive historic lighthouses, both onshore and off. Encircled by fierce currents and dangerous outcrops of hidden rocks, the island has claimed many lives over the centuries, making its lighthouses of crucial practical importance for shipping navigation through this dangerous area. The lighthouses themselves are some of the most spectacular to be found anywhere in France. From the squat, square Phare de Kermorvan with its rugged stone facing to the simple yet robust sophistication of the Phare du Petit Minou, the Île D’Ouessant showcases some truly amazing feats of engineering and practical architecture. The lighthouses are even more spectacular when one considers that most were built in the early years of the nineteenth century, when design techniques were nowhere near as advanced as they are today. The fact that these structures are still standing in the face of such severe weather conditions is a credit to the skill and tenacity of the men who built them. Reaching the Île D’Ouessant is quick and easy – just catch a Caen channel ferry to the French mainland and travel to Brest in Brittany. There the twice a day ferry will take you over to the island for a very modest fee. Once there, you can explore the island on foot or by bike, taking in the unique sights of these commanding silent guards.

Renting a car in Scotland and touring the natural and extravagant surroundings is the highlight of most vacations in Scotland. Cheap Scotland car rental is painless and available in all major cities.
Here is a suggestion for a three day castle exploration.
Day 1
Stating from Glasgow or Edinburgh, link up with the A93 at Perth and stick to it through Glenshee, to Braemar, the eastern doorway to the Cairngorm Mountains. Pay a visit to Braemar Highland Heritage Centre and 17th century Braemar Castle, which is now run by the local community. Continue on the A93 to Balmoral Castle, Queen Victoria’s ‘dear heaven where everywhere you look seems to breathe free will and quiet.
Further east, the old royal station at Ballater consists of a royal carriage and royal waiting room built for Queen Victoria. You can uncover additional ancient history at the Kinord Stone, a 9th century Celtic symbol stone in Muir of Dinnet National Nature Reserve before leaving the A93 for the A97 up to Strathdon, where a undersized alternative route will bring you to the ruined 16th century Glenbuchat Castle, now protected by Historic Scotland, who also take care of astonishing Corgarff Castle, a 16th century tower house set in natural surroundings in Upper Strathdon on the A939 to Tomintoul.
Take a breather at the bottom of the Lecht pass to visit the Lecht Mine – active during the 18th and 19th centuries.Go on to the intended 18th century township of Tomintoul with its square, museum, Telford church and manse.
Day 2
Set off the day from Tomintoul and go north on the A939 and take the right hand turning after Bridge of Avon. Just near the road is Fodderletter Lum – placed there by early road menders to provide shelter at night. Stay on Strathavon and turn left onto the B9136 to breathtaking 15th century Drumin Castle, sometime home of the Wolf of Badenoch. Continue to Bridgend of Glenlivet and turn right onto the B9008 to the ancient Livet pack horse bridge after quarter of a mile.
Continue to Auchnarrow and take a left turning signposted Chapeltown and Scalan. Park at the end of the road and walk a mile on level ground to locate the brilliant Forbidden College of Scalan where Roman Catholic priests were trained in secret during the 18th century. End the day at Grantown and take pleasure in an evening of local hospitality.
Day 3
From Grantown, head south and maybe visit magnificent Castle Roy by Nethybridge on your way to the ruined 18th century Ruthven Barracks near Kingussie, which were built following the first Jacobite uprising. From here it’s on to Clan MacPherson Museum at Newtonmore, where you will also find part of the multi award winning remarkable Highland Folk Museum where a 1700s township has been recreated.
To conclude head south past Dun da Lamh Pictish Hillfort at Laggan Bridge before taking the A9 south to Blair Atholl and magnificent Blair Castle, home of the Atholl Highlanders – the only remaining private army in the UK.

London has a lot of business establishment and many companies have their headquarters in it. At the same time the City is very lively. Different people have different reasons for visiting London. Travellers come to London either for business or to visit famous London Landmarks. London is a business Centre and also has a lot of tourists attraction centres. The London popular Landmarks include Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar square, Piccadilly Circus, etc. There are some tourists who would always like to shop in London regardless of their economic woes. London has many shops on the famous shopping streets in Europe; Oxford Street, Regent Street and Bond Street.
All businesses have been thinking about the negative effects of the World economic crisis. Redundancy is going on within a lot of businesses as they close down. The has been a lot of lay offs in many industries. It will take time before the big economies experience boom again accoding to experts. The current recession is not yet biting on industry. The subject is Hotel industry. Has there been any positive and negative impact on the Hotel industry? For the purpose of this article, I have limited myself to the London hotels and London bed and breakfast industry.
The negative effect of the reccession has not hit the London hotel industry yet from the research made. Our Hotels agency has been around for quite sometime now. We have worked with budget hotels and luxury hotels. London hotels and bed and breakfast have not seen a fall in sales since I started the research to date.
Hotels which have login details can close out dates which the have ran out of rooms and also for the date which they think they can sell their rooms themselves. One will be perplexed to hear that, hotels still fill up during weekdays and weekends despite the credit crunch
.
Between March and July was the peak period for London hotels in 2008. Hotels were almost full everyday. As hotels are always full up, we do not get space for our clients. Some hotels have already closed out for some future dates due to over booking for those date in London. Certain times, some hotels even seek rooms in other hotels because they become over booked. Hotels have logged onto our system to close out dates so we are not getting rooms to book for for clients.
My investigations on why the London Hotel industry has not suffered during this credit crunch is that the pound has become cheaper in the eyes of tourists, that it is cheaper to take their holidays in London as well as do their shopping there. At the same time, one will have to note that, the pound was not that cheap for the whole of last year. Is London so difficult to avaoid irrespective of the economic crisis, people still have to visit? The hotel industry in London is still being monitored and further findings may be published. If the credit crunch starts to bite the London hotel industry, travellers to London will get lower hotel rates. This is because they will be guaranteed special London hotel offers, cheap London hotels accommodation and also cheap London bed and breakfast rates. The Tavistock hotel London is an example of such hotels.
